On Tuesday March 22, 2011, took place Snuff Contraband Day organized by the Union of Associations of tobacconists in Spain to analyze the phenomenon smuggling and its remarkable increase in recent months.
The president of the Union of tobacconists of Spain, Mario Aguilar Espejo, accompanied him on the table Vicente Abad Carrasco, Deputy Director of Customs Surveillance; Ernesto Carvajal de la Torre, of the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) ; Baudilio Tome Muguruza, Deputy People's Party; José Luis Fernández Parra, captain of the Fiscal Service of the Guardia Civil, and Ignacio Millan of Aranibar Latasa, director of Tax Advisory Altadis. Also present were representatives of the tobacco houses and logistics, deputy Convergence and Union, Jordi Jané i Guash and Colonel Chief of the Guardia Civil Attorney, Thomas Oliver Navarro.
